Things to do in Medina
Dan's Dogs Diner
Transport yourself back to the 1950's when you step into Dan's Dogs Diners. You will be greeted by a checkered tile floor, vinyl booths complete with your own jukebox, and retro formica tables. Dan's specializes in all beef hotdogs, serving them up 41 different ways, serving them on a buttered and toasted New England-style bun. If dogs aren't your thing, the menu boasts hamburgers, chicken, salads, and more. Round out your meal with fresh cut fries and a malt or milkshake to make the experience!
The Coffee Colony
Still owned and operated by Sharon Lipton and daughter Kim Hansen; customer satisfaction, friendly atmosphere, and quality products at reasonable prices attribute to the shop's long standing success. Since opening in 1985, and starting with 18 flavored coffees, limited teas, and one floor of gifts and home decor, Coffee Colony has grown to over 100 varieties of coffees, and expanded line of loose and bagged teas. The shop is brimming with 2 floors of coffee and tea accessories, prints and decor.
Schleman Nature Preserve
Buckeye Woods Park is the largest park in the system. Named for the grove of Buckeye trees found along the stream in the Schleman Nature Preserve, the park provides a variety of experiences for visitors. Cross the bridge from Buckeye Woods Park and enter the Schleman Nature Preserve to walk wooded nature trails. Named for the family that donated the original acreage, this site will remain undeveloped for the enjoyment of nature and wildlife viewing in accordance with the family's wishes.
